Joyful Hearts Women’s Ministry

Joyful Hearts is open to all women in the church who share our common desire to connect with each other and share our blessings by serving the church and the community.

We meet the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m., with a break from meetings during the summer months.

Throughout the year, we collect and donate items needed by local organizations who provide vital services in our community. Ongoing collections include crocheted lap covers for a local hospice, assorted toiletries for Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless, and household items for Lutheran Family Services. Additional activities are scheduled throughout the year to promote fellowship within our group and within the congregation.

2024 Events/Projects

Souper Bowl Sunday - Over $1,400.00 was raised for Storehouse West thru freewill donations during a “Soup” potluck

Fleece Navidad (Oct. 10-Nov. 20) - this event collected enough fleece for our congregation to make 125 hats and scarves for Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless

Thanksgiving Meal (Nov. 17) - using the proceeds from the October Bake Sale, we provided a turkey dinner for our congregation, immediately following the worship service.

Upcoming Events

Souper Bowl Sunday (Feb. 9) - this event will feature a Soup Potluck immediately following the worship service.  In recognition of the Superbowl being played in New Orleans, this event will feature a jazz music theme.  There is no cost to attendees but a freewill donation will be collected for Storehouse West.

Haven House Fundraiser (May 4) - this event (theme TBD) will raise funds for Haven House, which is the only domestic violence shelter in Sandoval County.
